Yoshito, I'm not marrying the thrice-Illustrious Sovreign of Bloodveil, or the slaver, warmonger, or whatever other negative public image you can attribute to my future partner. I'm also not marrying her for her status, religious background, or finanical backing either as I have plenty of my own and I'm quite comfortable. No, I love the woman behind all that and above all else this bond endures. My true friends understand the meaning behind this and support my decision even if it may have come to some surprise.
My apologies for the abruptness of this announcement. Hopefully we'll see many of the well wishers at the celebrations in the near future.

It's been abundantly clear as of late that the Serpentis may be winning afterall, because I find myself surrounded by snakes in the capsuleer community who smile and nod to my face and secretly sow discontent behind my back. At least Jonny's clumsy attempt at begging for a blowjob to sate his tiny manhood or Yuki's jilted ego spitting venom was done in the open, but its the real vipers like Verone and Nemesor who crawl out into the open from their slimy holes the moment they think their dischord has struck a blow.
What despicable creatures you are in trying to stir discontent between two lovers for personal or political gain. You aren't clever and if you think your slithering around in the darkness doesn't go unnoticed, do think again. And Ms. Yubari, I have no intention of justifying my choices in life. Not to you, and certainly not to any of the other crazed suitors trying to sabotage our union. The irony is, Yoshito, that the same open-mindedness that allowed me to consider you a friend is now what makes me a lost cause, all because I befriended what you despise. I've supported the Ushra'Khan's efforts at slave liberation in the past, why not condemn me for that as well?
I never judged you for defending a cause I didn't agree with Col. Sanders, and I would have hoped you understood this.
As for you Jonny, perhaps you should show alittle respect and you might not get your attitude shoved back in your verbal rectum like the hate-spewing Scuro. We've never met and yet you felt the need to assault us at La Maison, so don't play the wounded animal.

Many would call the Empire the most brutal and oppressive regime ever to grace this universe, Yoshito, and yet you choose to defend this institution because it's what you believe is right. I respect your courage of conviction, even if I don't agree with it.
I will defend my future bride because love tells me this is right. I'm sure plenty of people think I'm a murderer as well, but where does it stop? Who is right and who is wrong, and if not for myself who should I live to appease? The Federation? The State? Isk?
No, I follow my heart above all else, and if that makes me a monster then so be it. I am a true believer in this power and I've never swayed from its path, for better or worse.
I've never enslaved anyone, and I never intend to either. People are slaves enough to societal obligations and moral overtures from distant judges they will never meet, and there's no purpose for me to add another layer of control when many lack the ability to free themselves when allowed the choice.
I realize we haven't spoken much as of late Elsebeth, it seems worlds apart keep us both plenty busy with affairs and I hope you and your partner are well. I know you may not approve of this, but it would mean the universe to me if you could attend the Gallentean ceremony at the very least. I still consider you a friend, someone I can trust to tell me what's on her mind even when it isn't in her best interests. *grins*

A greedy heart never finds peace, and finding true happiness is never about doing better, it's doing well with what you have. Fortunately for me, I have everything I could ever want in a partner and I'm eternally satisfied to have found that in my beloved.
I've discovered more about myself than I'd ever imagined just in this short time in her presence, and hopefully we'll share many more experiences in the coming days. And I have to say I didn't realize how slimming red can be until now.
